Lake Havasu City is a planned city built in the 1960s on the shore of Lake Havasu, the reservoir behind Parker Dam on the Colorado River. It’s best known for the London Bridge, rebuilt here in 1971, and for a lifestyle built around the water.
Life in Lake Havasu City
Boating is the center of life here, from the Bridgewater Channel to coves up and down the lake. Winters bring visitors and events, and summers bring the heat and the lake crowds. The city has its own hospital, shopping, and services, so you don’t have to leave town for much.
The city is built on hills rising from the lake, so many neighborhoods have lake or mountain views.
